Birdsacre welcomed more than 500 visitors
throughout the 50th anniversary observance held Aug. 1 and 2. Visitors from as far away
as California and Indiana, and as close as Bayside in Ellsworth discovered for themselves the
pleasures of the sanctuary. The grounds at Birdsacre are accessible during daylight hours
every day of the year and the Nature Center/Gift Shop is open from the end of May into October
