Mood at Boat Show Is Buoyant Despite Fierce Storm Clouds
ROCKLAND — It could have been a boat show promoter’s worst nightmare. Within hours of the opening of the Maine Boats Homes & Harbors Show, wild winds and torrential rain struck the Rockland waterfront Friday afternoon, battering exhibitors and visitors. Despite the pummeling and a threat of hail that kept the crowds at home on what should have been a busy first day, by the end of the weekend the show counted as a definite success.
