ACADIA NATIONAL PARK — Hundreds of visitors thronged the top of Cadillac Mountain after dark on Saturday for a chance to view the heavens through a battery of telescopes staffed by volunteers. The event was part of the first annual Night Sky Festival which began Thursday and ran through Monday. Other events included a “street” astronomy session on Friday evening in Agamont Park in Bar Harbor which focused on allowing people to see a close-up of the planet Jupiter and its moons.
