Area residents welcomed the holiday season in downtown Blue Hill on Dec. 3 as dozens of shoppers and holiday enthusiasts participated in the annual Night of Lights. The event featured hot chocolate and cookies at the historic Holt House, Santa Claus at the library, steel drum performances on the Town Hall steps, a tree lighting on the Town Hall lawn and carols song by Ella Capella on the front porch of North Light Books.
