This biennial cultural event takes place in the Acadia National Park section at Schoodic Point, with sculpting there starting Saturday, Aug. 1. As part of the symposium running through Sept. 12, six international sculptors will produce a finished piece, which will then be placed permanently in six towns throughout Hancock and Washington counties.
