Wendilee Heath O’Brien comes to her artistic world from the deep spiritual pool of a lifelong Quaker. “Each painting is what we Quakers call ‘queries,’” she said “Queries are used to discern choices and actions. Wendilee’s studio and gallery, named “whopaints” for her initials, is just steps from the family’s farmhouse on Main Street in Winter Harbor, which draws attention in the summer with its thick and wild phlox and towering sunflowers.
