More than 150 diners and volunteers gathered at the Mariaville Grange May 15 to raise money for Lance Leffel, who is battling skin cancer. Hot dogs, baked beans, American chop suey and many side dishes were served family style. Pies rounded out the meal and were auctioned after dinner. As one of the founding members of the What’s For Suppah? Food Pantry, Leffel is considered the face of the pantry and on Saturday the community turned out to return the favor.
