A mobile home on North Street (Route 179) in Ellsworth Falls barely escaped destruction Tuesday afternoon at 2 when flames engulfed the nearby garage, sending thick black smoke into the sky. Firemen covered the mobile home and nearby trees with foam to contain the fire. Photos by Jacqueline Weaver.
