The building housing the Quarterdeck Restaurant, at the corner of West and Main streets in downtown Bar Harbor, was demolished on Monday, Feb. 21, and work continued the next day loading up and carting off the rubble. Property owner Tom Walsh is clearing the area for his $13 million West Street hotel, which will run along West Street between Main and Rodick Streets. Construction is expected to begin this winter.
