Delightful handmade Christmas cards made by Martha Blanchard of Mount Desert using collage, quilling, and embroidery are on display at the Jesup Memorial Library in Bar Harbor this month. Ms. Blanchard has been making several dozen cards annually for family and friends for the past five years, she said, starting in October and spending up to three hours on each one-of-a-kind card. Ms. Blanchard’s work, which is not for sale, is a pleasure to behold.
